October 17th – Bernadette Therese Nolan is born in Dublin

1962

The Nolan family relocate to Blackpool from Dublin

1972

Singing Nolans family LP released on the Nevis label

1973

The Singing Nolans (all the family) were spotted at Blackpool’'s Cliffs hotel on Christmas Day by Joe Lewis boss of Hanover Grand in London and he offered the family the chance to perform in London. The Nolan brothers didn’t want to relocate and the Nolan parents and daughters moved South.  

1975 The Nolan Sisters support Frank Sinatra's European Tour / Make a Little Sunshine shine single
1976 Singles 'Rain, 'Thanks for Calling and 'When you are a King' all released on the Target label  
1977 Seaside Special TV show, Love Transformation & Love Bandit singles released on Target label
1978 Multi Coloured Swap Shop TV appearance  / Nolans LP 20 Giant Hits Released on the Target label  

1979

Top of The Pops / Mike Yarwood in Persons (both TV) CBS sign Nolan Sisters for their Epic label / December - no3 hit I'm In The Mood for Dancing released/ The Nolans fail in bid to represent the UK in  Song for Europe after BBC strike blacks out the televised show.

1980

Top of The Pops / Musiksalon (both TV shows) / Top 11 UK charting LP (Making Waves) / Nolan Sisters first UK Tour and 3 top 12 UK singles

1981

The Lena Martell TV Show / Top of The Pops / 2 top 15 singles (Don't make Waves / Whose Gonna Rock) / Nolans win Grand Prize at Tokyo Music Festival with their song ‘Sexy Music’

 

1982

Top 14 UK single (Don't love me too hard)  / 2 x.top 50 LP's (Portrait & Altogether)

1983

Nolans single ‘Dressed to Kill’ controversially removed from the UK charts

1984

1 top 40 LP - Girls just Wanna have Fun on Towerbell label reached no 39 in the UK Album charts

1974

The Nolan Sisters are formed (parents / brothers leave family act) / they appear on 'Its Cliff Richard' TV Series every week

1985

Goodbye Nothing to say released as a single on Towerbell Records

1986

6 x TV shows as a guest presenter on Cheggar's plays Pop / Chasing Rainbows / Stadium tour of Russia / Tenderly Album released on Spartan / Lets Spend the Night Together released as a single
