Shane Nolan comes from a family of talented performers and has show-business running through his veins. He is a singer-songwriter who fronts his own band (Nolans Band) and he and his brother Jake were the opening act for the 2009 sell-out Nolans reunion tour.

He has also appeared onstage in musicals such as Boogie Nights (as Roddy O'Neill) and Last Night A DJ Saved My Life in 2015/16 alongside David Hasselhoff and in pantomimes such as Aladdin and Cinderella.

Since then Shane has toured all over Europe and the UK as a solo singer. Shane has become a regular Loose Women contributor and is keen to further pursue the area of presenting. Shane was recently seen playing Dandini in Cinderella with his mum, Coleen, at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford.

He has also recently become a first time father to daughter Amelia Rose. This time last year Shane Nolan made headlines when he changed his name from that of his famous father, EastEnders star Shane Richie.

His mum Coleen Nolan was in the Celebrity Big Brother house and there was a media frenzy when Shane made his announcement. At the time it was reported that he did it as a show of support and to surprise Coleen, who went on to win the show.

But singing star admitted that being known as Shane Richie junior was holding him back in his career.

Speaking about his showbiz upbringing and his life now as a new dad and a star in his own right, he said his dream is to follow in his dad's footsteps and act in soaps. Shane was just 12 when his dad landed the role of Alfie Moon in EastEnders.

He says: "I changed my name for my career. Being known as Shane Richie junior and going for auditions was an absolute nightmare. "I was being compared to dad before I had even opened my mouth. "I just fancy the challenge of acting and I've done some theatre, but no TV yet. A soap would be ideal".

In 2018 Shane is looking forward to his new show Oh What a Night - an upbeat homage to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, in which Shane and his band the Jersey Guys will perform all their greatest hits.

Jake Peter Roche was born in Reigate, England, on September 18, 1992. He's the son of EastEnders actor Shane Richie and Irish singer and Loose Women star Coleen Nolan, who divorced when Jake was nine years old. Jake has an older brother, Shane, and four half-siblings from his parents' subsequent marriages.

Singer and actor Jake Roche may have celebrity parents, but he's found fame in his own right as Isaac Nuttall on Emmerdale and the lead singer of pop rock band Rixton.

Rixton topped the UK charts with their first official single, Me and My Broken Heart.

He has also made headlines for his romance with Little Mix star Jesy Nelson, who he got engaged to in 2015. However, after weeks of speculation sources confirmed that the wedding was off and they were going their separate ways. The split was initiated by Jake who felt that the pair had grown apart.

He attended Reigate College in Reigate and St. Mary's Catholic College in Blackpool, and later trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London. Jake landed the part of Isaac on Emmerdale in 2010, later revealing he hadn't told anyone who his parents were when he auditioned. His stint on the soap lasted just over two months. He also appeared in the BBC musical film Rules of Love and ITV drama Scott & Bailey.

Jake joined Rixton, originally known as Relics, in 2012. The foursome started gaining a following when they posted cover songs on YouTube. In one of their videos they sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, which Jake had heard his mum's band The Nolans performing when he was four years old. Talent manager Scooter Braun, known for discovering Justin Bieber, saw the clip and offered to sign the band, something of a Christmas miracle, as it was the video they had spent the least time and money on. Soon they were on their way to New York City to record an EP.

Later they attracted attention with their 2013 song Make Out, which lampooned hit music videos from that year by the likes of Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and even Justin Bieber. They released their debut single Me and My Broken heart in March 2014, which reached No1 in the UK and charted in Sweden, Australia and the United States. Their debut album, 2015's Let the Road, peaked at Number 19 on the UK charts.
