Welcome to the official website of singer and actress Linda Nolan. Linda is one of the UK's most talented female vocalist's and is also an award winning actress. Linda has been singing since the age of 4 and became a household name together with her talented sisters in the family act, The Nolans.
Gold, Silver and Platinum discs from all around the world allied to Royal Variety performances and their own television series for the BBC tell their own tale about the success of the famous sister act. Linda opted out of the group at the back end of 1983 to commence a solo career and this has also has been a show business success story.
Linda was also voted Female Vocalist of the Year in 1990. Linda holds the record for headlining the most consecutive summer seasons in Blackpool with a 8 years on Central Pier as Maggie May followed by a further two years as Rosie O'Grady on North Pier. Linda also starred in her own Television Special for Granada TV called 'Linda Nolan and Friends' with special guests comedians Brian Conley and Bernard Manning.
Linda was a regular on national television appearing in game shows like 3-2-1, Blankety Blank, Crackerjack and Win, Lose or Draw. Linda sang on The Des O'Connor TV show, Mike Yarwood's TV show, The Keith Harris' show and The Grumbleweeds TV Show amongst many others. Linda was in demand and her sexy image saw her dubbed as 'the Naughty Nolan' by the media.
An acting career then followed, firstly as Prudie Cupp in the musical Pump Boys and Dinettes and then as The Governor in Prisoner Cell Block 'H' - the musical starring Paul O'Grady (as Lily Savage). Linda is also in the Guinness Book of Records (2007) alongside her sisters Bernie, Denise and Maureen. All four siblings played the leading role of Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers in London's West End.
Linda was delighted to be re-united with her sisters for their Reunion tour in 2009 following a tragic period in her life. In 2006 Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer and as she was recovering, Brian her husband of 26 years passed away following a battle with skin cancer. She also lost her mother Maureen in 2007 to Alzheimer’s. Sadly tragedy struck again in July 2013 when Bernie passed away after her own cancer fight. Linda supports many good causes & regularly gives her time to Breast Cancer, The Samaritans & Alzheimer's charities. All of these are very close to her heart as a result of her own personal experiences. In January 2014 Linda entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in a controversial stay with her old adversary Jim Davidson and appeared on several TV shows. Linda also appeared in pantomime at the Theatre Royal, St Helens in 2014 earning great reviews. In 2015 Linda undertook her first major tour since 2009 in Menopause The Musicalin Ireland and will follow that up with a UK tour in 2016 in the same production - see news page for details.
