The
original work by Willy Russell was written as a school play
& presented in 1981. Russell
developed the work into a play, opening at the

moved to London for 6 months before closing. Bill Kenwright
took over the show & it re-opened in the Albery Theatre in
1988 before moving to the Phoenix where it has been running
ever since. Maureen has appeared in London's west end and on

Naked Truth

The Naked Truth is the hit Comedy Play
directed by Stephen Leatherhead and written by Dave Simpson, the
writer of the smash-hit comedy ‘Girls Night Out’. Set in a pole dancing class (the latest get-fit
craze) 'The Naked Truth' is a brilliantly funny play about
sisterhood. Maureen appeared in this show in 2010 and 2011 with
Leanne Jones, Claire King, Michelle Heaton and other well
known actresses.
Mum's The Word
- is a brutally honest, wickedly funny comedy about the
trials & tribulations of having children & the overwhelming effect
they have on your life. This comedy is a passionate illustration of
the joys & agonies of parenting. Maureen toured with this production
in 2004 - her first acting role & returned again in 2008 alongside
her sister Bernie.
Girls Behind
- was a
musical comedy with 3 of the UK's favourite singers &
actresses breathing life into brilliant one-liners &
timeless classic songs like Man! I Feel Like A Woman & Misty
Blue.
Singing trio The Diamonds have been friends since school. 20 years on & they still go through everything
together – the highs & lows of their relationships, their
family triumphs & of course tragedies.
Stardust
-
Maureen Nolan, Mike & Rachael Holoway sang
non-stop, seam-free, popular hits from famous shows across the
last 30 years. The show was a
medley of scenes & songs from musicals from the past 30 years,
including Joseph & His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat,
Godspell, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Blood Brothers & Mamma Mia. The
Eva Cassidy Story, Over the Rainbow -
Maureen
Nolan played Eva’s mother, Barbara
with a warmth & conviction that
was palpable. However, the size
& scope of the role almost robs
Nolan of the opportunity to
demonstrate to the audience just how
marvellous this
singer-turned-actress really is.
Despite that & in her own
understated way, Nolan magnificently
makes a minor role a pivotal part.
During one stand-out scene, she
wrenches the heart, soul & guts
out of the audience with a
show-stopping rendition of ‘I Know
You By Heart’, as real tears
tumble down her cheeks. Truly
brilliant & beguiling. Reviewer:
